This is the best grilled chicken I have tasted in my life. Tender, succulent, fragrant and the seasoning is done with perfection. 5€ for half chicken and 10€ for whole chicken. Definitely worth the hassle of travelling to get here.

Super friendly owner! Despite the language barrier, he enthusiastically introduced the ingredients to me. The chili roasted chicken is full of flavor without being too spicy. Half a roasted chicken costs €5, cash only. Highly recommend you try it if you're in Lisbon!

Delicious well-prepared chicken or ribs from the grill. Drop by or call to order (about 15 minutes). Helpful owner (limited English) and good prices (10€ full bird). We opted for no spice. Call ahead for ribs. Take-out only.

This was an experience. We hiked a mile to get to the place, which does not have an official sign. I walked in with my two sons, and the three of us barely fit inside. I knew from other reviews that the owner doesn't speak English, and I don't speak Portuguese, so we just locked eyes for about 15 seconds before I finally held up three fingers. He said "tres?" and I replied "sim." He then threw three entire whole chickens on his grill, and I thought "oh my god, what have I done?"
I sort of stood around for the entirety of the time it took to cook three entire chickens while my kids went out scouting for a bench to sit on. They returned as the owner was finishing up the chicken. He asked us "spicy?" and we all said "sim", so he slathered it in some peri peri sauce. Then he got out his scissors and asked "cut?" and I again replied "sim," being its one of three words I know in Portugese. He cut up the chicken, bagged it, and liberally sprinkled it with more sauce for good measure. Three whole chickens were only 30 euros.
We took our precious bags of chicken down the street until we found those benches the boys scouted out. They were right next to a small family café that was closing up. The kids were kicking around a soccer ball while we hunched over our bags or chicken at the bench and devoured it like trolls. It was delicious.

This is some hidden gem in the Lisbon. Juicy and nicely spiced and crazy juicy piri piri chicken. The owner speak abit of English but it's good enough for simple transaction. 10 thumbs up.

Great little hole in the wall grilled chicken place! The owner is very friendly. We had a whole chicken for 10€ and a bag of fresh bread for 1.5 € Delicious chicken, very juicy and flavourful. Worth coming if you are checking out the area nearby. Look for the 5A signage on the street.

Favorite place, if I don’t what to cook today 😇 - the chicken is not fatty and not overdried - need to order in advance (high demand) - good price not for piece, but for kg - not English speaking :/ the owner of the restaurant is very pleasant to talk to (use google translate app) So glad to have this place near home 🙌

The grilled chicken was very tender! Grilled to perfection! I tried both lemon and piri piri flavors. They are both very good but I would definitely recommend piri piri! The owner was also very nice. The chicken was also very good value, only 10€ for a whole chicken!

Amazing and authentic piri piri chicken. A tip is to call ahead of time otherwise it might take up to 30minutes. There is no seating but a beautiful park a few minutes up the street.
